Welcome!
Thank you for visiting Gaining Ground at the Social Innovation Forum’s 2026 Showcase.
Founded in 1990, Gaining Ground is a nonprofit organic farm in Concord, Massachusetts. With deep respect for land and community, we grow and donate fresh produce to nourish our neighbors experiencing food insecurity. We do this alongside volunteers who work and learn with us on the farm. Gaining Ground envisions a future where everyone has equitable access to healthy, sustainably grown produce.
Partners

Gaining Ground’s fresh produce is grown exclusively for donation to food pantries, meal programs, schools, and shelters. We partner with 17+ organizations in Greater Boston, Lowell, and the Metrowest. Our approach is local and sustainable — most of our produce is distributed within 25 miles of the farm and within 24 hours of harvest. Some partners use our produce to prepare a free hot or frozen meal, while others give it away as part of free grocery distributions to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. We currently partner with the following organizations:
- Bedford Food Bank, Bedford
- Bridge Boston Charter School, Roxbury
- Community Teamwork, Lowell/Dracut
- Daniel’s Table, Framingham
- East Boston Community Soup Kitchen, East Boston
- Eastie Farm, East Boston
- Food for Families, Concord/Carlisle
- Harvard Square Churches Meal Program, Cambridge
- Healthy Waltham, Waltham
- House of Hope, Lowell
- La Colaborativa, Chelsea
- Loaves and Fishes, Devens
- Lowell Transitional Living Center, Lowell
- Open Table, Maynard
- Sudbury Food Pantry, Sudbury
- UTEC, Lowell
- Westford Council on Aging, Westford
- Women’s Lunch Place, Boston
